Two ways to play

One parent or a whole cast.

The kit ships materials for both modes, print whichever you need.

ONE HOST PARENT RUNS THE NIGHT.

Narrated mode

Parent reads Mrs. Wren's letter, distributes Witness Cards, voices each suspect in turn, and guides the detectives to the solution. Low-prep. Any party can run it.

4–6 ADULTS PLAY THE NPCS AT STATIONS AROUND THE HOUSE.

Live-cast mode

Detectives rotate through four household stations, each a Pinewood location with its own adult host in character. Adults ham up their parts from 1-page packets. Most immersive; best with co-hosts, the host parent can even play along unspoiled.

Hybrid supported: 1–2 willing adults? Hand them a character packet each and narrate the rest.

The trail

Five clues, four witnesses, one gotcha.

    The Bacon Wrapper
    Found at Mrs. Wren's back gate. Someone lured Scout out, this wasn't an accident.
  2. 2
    The Sketch
    A witness drew the dog they say they saw. Something about it doesn't match.
  3. 3
    The Footprint
    A small, sneakered footprint where there shouldn't be one.
  4. 4
    The Quarter
    A single shiny coin, where a quarter has no reason to be.
  5. 5
    The Gotcha
    Revealed only when the detectives get to the right place, at the right time.
